Seminars and company events
Château de Bizy hires out two rooms for meetings, assemblies and small private events held by companies and local authorities, with group meals and cocktails served on the estate. The château stands on the edge of Vernon, in the Eure, on the road between Paris and Rouen. A brochure describing the rooms is sent on request, and each event is quoted separately.
The format suits a company day that mixes work and a visit. A group can start with breakfast in the orangerie before the estate opens to the public, hold its meeting in one of the two rooms, then take a hot meal or a buffet at lunch or dinner. Guided or theatrical visits of the château can be booked for the same group, and coaches can drive onto the estate.
Weddings and receptions
The estate states plainly that it is not hired for weddings. Couples can still book a photo session in the grounds through the château's shooting offer. For other private occasions, such as a small family gathering or a cocktail for a company, the team quotes on request.
Rooms and capacities
The official site mentions two common rooms for hire without giving their names or capacities. Ask for the brochure and a floor plan before planning a layout. In good weather, cocktails can be held outdoors in the grounds, and the orangerie is used for group breakfasts.
Catering
Catering is arranged by the château team. The options listed are breakfast in the orangerie, a hot meal or a buffet for lunch or dinner, and cocktails on the estate. No list of outside caterers is published, so confirm early whether your own caterer can work on site.
History and setting
Bizy was laid out in the 18th century for the Maréchal de Belle-Isle, whose architect designed the stables and a sequence of fountains and water features that still structure the park. The main house was rebuilt in the 19th century and belongs to the descendants of the Suchet d'Albufera family, which explains the Napoleonic collections shown on the guided tour. The château is a classified historical monument. It opens to visitors from April to early November, Tuesday to Sunday, with weekend openings in December, and it has closed early on some days for private events. Company days are easier to plan around these public hours, or outside them.
Getting there
The address is avenue du Maréchal de Lattre de Tassigny, 27200 Vernon. Vernon-Giverny station is on the line from Paris Saint-Lazare to Rouen, and the town is about an hour from western Paris by the A13 motorway. Giverny and Monet's gardens are a few kilometres away across the Seine, which makes it easy to pair a meeting with a visit for the same group.
