The Château de la Ferté-Saint-Aubin hosts seminars of up to 300 participants, company evenings and weddings of 50 to 250 guests, with a main orangery seating 230 or taking 384 standing, and 57 beds in four gîtes on the estate. The château is a private, lived-in house in Sologne, at La Ferté-Saint-Aubin, south of Orléans.
Seminars and company events
The estate sells a turnkey seminar formula for 1 to 300 participants. It includes a morning coffee welcome, an equipped meeting room, lunch and a team-building activity, and the château's team organises the day. Meetings take place in the Orangerie, the guards' room, the vaulted kitchens or a room in the park. Team-building options include an escape game, a treasure hunt in the forest, a sports challenge and an immersive historical role-play. The château also runs company evenings, from galas and product launches to retirement parties, and Christmas events for employees' families. The quote form asks for the number of participants, the catering formula and the options chosen.
Weddings and receptions
Weddings of 50 to 250 guests use two reception spaces, the Orangerie in the main courtyard and the more rustic Garenne in the park. Every wedding package includes the use of beds in the estate's gîtes. Visits before booking can be requested and are subject to acceptance.
Rooms and capacities
The Orangerie covers 232 m² with a 30 m² mezzanine. It seats 230 for a conference or a dinner and takes 384 for a cocktail. It has two small 18th-century salons, a cloakroom, toilets, a French-style ceiling, a catering area with power, a large refrigerator, a sink and two stainless steel tables, and a shaded outdoor cocktail area under a nomad tent. La Garenne, 90 m², seats 80 and takes 100 standing, with a fitted kitchen and a shaded area in the historic park. Le Jardin d'hiver, 70 m², seats 30 for a meeting or a lunch and takes 50 standing. It sits in the Ermitage, on a private island, with a lounge, a dining room, a garden and a working fireplace. The spaces are fully private for the length of the hire, which can run from a few hours to a weekend.
Accommodation
Four group gîtes sleep 57 people in all. In the courtyard, Le Pavillon des Cerfs has five bedrooms and Le Pavillon de l'Orangerie four; the Orangerie pavilion is only let together with another gîte. In the park, L'Ermitage has five bedrooms and La Garenne 15 beds. Most hire packages include the option of sleeping on site.
Catering
The seminar formula includes lunch, with a choice of catering formula on the quote. For receptions, the Orangerie and the Garenne have catering areas for the caterer's team, and there is no corkage fee, so hosts can bring their own bottles.
History and setting
The château's timeline starts in 1625 with the Senneterre family, and from 1675 to 1822 it was known as the Château des Maréchaux. The Guyot family's chapter opens in 1987, and the house has been lived in for more than 350 years. Restoration has run for 30 years, funded in part by visitors. The park covers about 40 hectares of Sologne woodland and gardens.
