Company seminars, team building days, weddings and private receptions can all be held at the Château de Miromesnil, with room for up to 350 guests seated or 400 standing in its reception tent. The estate stands in Tourville-sur-Arques, in Seine-Maritime, 12 km from Dieppe and 40 km from Rouen, and it is still a family home run by its owners.
Seminars and company events
For company days the château offers exclusive hire of three reception spaces. Lunch is cooked in-house by the château's chef, who proposes three menus to choose from. Team building takes place on the estate itself, and the house has made a speciality of games built around its own past: Cluedo-style investigations, murder parties and escape games, sometimes with a theatre troupe. Groups that want to stay can sleep in the château's bedrooms and in the gîtes beside it, which makes a two-day programme possible without a coach transfer.
Weddings and receptions
Weddings, birthdays and private receptions fill a large part of the estate's calendar. Guests usually move between the park and the tent: drinks under the old trees, photographs in the walled kitchen garden or in the main courtyard, then dinner and dancing in the tent. The team helps couples build the programme of the day. Tables, chairs and fairy lights are provided with the tent.
Rooms and capacities
The main reception space is the Touareg tent, 470 m², opened in summer 2021 in the wooded park, facing the south façade of the château. It seats up to 350 guests and takes 400 standing, and the layout inside is adapted to each event. The château also has three reception spaces offered for exclusive hire. The estate includes a chapel, the kitchen garden and a park of trees more than a century old.
Accommodation
For a night of exclusive hire, the estate provides 28 beds in total, 14 of them inside the château. The rest are in gîtes close to the house. Bed and breakfast rooms and suites are also let on the upper floors of the château.
History and setting
A fortress stood here from the 12th century. It was destroyed in 1589 after the battle of Arques, fought between the Catholic League and the army of Henri IV. Jacques Dyel, lord of Miromesnil, began a new house in 1590. Its south façade keeps the plain lines of the Henri IV period, the north façade is in a richer Louis XIII style, and the courtyard front was reworked in 1640. Guy de Maupassant was born on the first floor in 1850. The Comte and Comtesse Bertrand de Vogüé bought the estate in 1938, and Nathalie and Jean-Christophe Romatet have lived there since 2004. The walled kitchen garden covers a quarter of a hectare and grows more than 70 varieties of vegetables, and a long beech wood runs through the grounds.
