Day seminars, team-building programmes, general assemblies, Christmas parties and private meals can be organised at Château de Quintin, in the town of Quintin in the Côtes-d'Armor, Brittany. The main reception hall covers 160 m² and seats 80 for a meal, and smaller rooms in the château serve as workshop spaces. Activities such as a murder party take groups of 20 to 90.
Seminars and company events
The château designs seminar days to order. A sample programme runs from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm: a morning working session in the reception hall, lunch, an aperitif in the gardens, then an afternoon activity in the 18th-century château and a snack before departure. Team building is run with the partner BzHarmonie. Formats include a two-hour challenge game, classic Olympics, colour-themed Olympics based on the DISC profile model, nature and survival challenges, a Koh Lanta-style programme and a smoothie cooking contest. A three-hour murder party in the furnished apartments of the château takes 20 to 90 players and is run with Yllar or Jean Ludik, who also host quizzes with electronic voting handsets. A qualified golf professional can lead an introduction to golf in the formal park for up to 30 people.
Rooms and capacities
The reception hall, 160 m², is fitted with a paperboard, video projector, screen and microphone, and takes round or rectangular tables. For a seated meal it holds 80, at round tables of eight or nine. Breakout groups use the smaller rooms: the old kitchen, the dining room, the entrance halls and an office. The gardens host breaks, aperitifs and outdoor games. The spaces can also be privatised for a general assembly, a conference or a company party.
Catering
Meals are served in the former 18th-century stables, with traditional home-style cooking and menus at several budget levels, from breakfast to dinner, buffet or aperitif dinner. The château also handles welcome coffee, breaks, afternoon tea and pre-departure snacks. For a cocktail lunch or dinner, it works with three local caterers: Traiteurs Briochins, Walle and L'Oasis Traiteur.
History and setting
The estate has been in the same family for more than eight centuries, and the owners still guide group visits themselves. The site brings together medieval ramparts, an archive tower, two châteaux and a formal French garden. Quintin carries the Petite Cité de Caractère label, given to small towns that have kept a protected historic centre. A permanent exhibition, Les merveilles de nos collections, completes the visit, and a guided tour of the château, the exhibition and the park takes between one hour and an hour and a half. Groups of more than 35 are split in two for the tour.
Getting there
The château stands in Quintin, about 20 km south-west of Saint-Brieuc. Saint-Brieuc station, on the TGV line from Paris to Brest, is the nearest main-line station, and the rest of the journey is by road.
