Seminars of up to 110 delegates, conferences of up to 180, residential seminars, conventions and weddings of up to 200 seated guests can be organised at the Château de Vixouze, above the Cère valley at Polminhac in the Cantal. The château combines two indoor rooms, a medieval courtyard and an outdoor esplanade, with eight bedrooms on site for event guests.
Seminars and company events
The château takes executive committee meetings as well as receptions, conventions, forums and seminars. Three formats are offered: a day seminar with a room, technical equipment and catering; a residential seminar that adds accommodation at the château; and conventions or forums priced to the client's brief. Layouts range from classic set-ups to less usual ones. For an evening, the château can stage a personalised sound and light show on the theme of its history.
Technical equipment can be supplied across the reception spaces: sound system and wireless microphones, LED and stage lighting, a 5,000-lumen projector with HDMI and VGA inputs, a 3 by 2 m screen, a sound desk, a lectern and a 20 m² stage. Wi-Fi runs at 40 Mbps and wired internet at 90 Mbps.
Weddings and receptions
Weddings, birthdays, christenings and family reunions are offered in three packages: an essentials package, a premium package with technical installations, and a package built around a secular ceremony on the Esplanade des Tilleuls. The château works with recommended caterers, DJs, florists and photographers, and can book a live band for the drinks reception, the evening or the next-day brunch.
Rooms and capacities
Le Pavillon au Roy (200 m²) seats 40 to 200 for dinner and takes up to 280 for a cocktail, 110 in seminar layout and 180 in conference layout. Catering
Catering is provided through caterers recommended by the château, either within the seminar formats or chosen by the couple for a wedding.
History and setting
The château's first foundations date from the year 980. It stands at 780 m above sea level in a wooded park, with a view across the Cère valley and the Monts du Cantal. It is listed as a historic monument, and the estate presents itself as a quiet, protected setting away from town.
