Château du Touvet hosts company events, conferences, dinners, cocktails and weddings for 100 to 280 seated guests, or up to 350 at a standing cocktail. The château stands in Le Touvet, in the Isère valley between Grenoble and Chambéry, inside the Chartreuse Regional Nature Park.
Seminars and company events
The château takes private and professional events. Its connected salons, 300 m² in total, are set out for cocktails and corporate events, and the site also lists conferences among its uses. The 900 m² cour d'honneur can hold a product presentation, an exhibition or a show. A company evening can move from a cocktail in the salons to a seated dinner in the orangery and end on the dance floor. A visit of the château and gardens can be added for a group: adult groups of 15 to 80 people are shown round the interiors by a guide, and the gardener can explain how the fountains of the water staircase are raised.
Weddings and receptions
Weddings take a large share of the reception calendar, along with family dinners and dance evenings. A secular ceremony can take place on the orangery terrace, with the drinks reception in the courtyard or the gardens. The gardens are open to guests at no extra charge and are lit at nightfall. A photo session in the gardens can be booked for the couple.

History and setting
The château began as a fortified castle defending the valley against attacks from Savoy, then became a country house. It has remained in the same family for 500 years and is still lived in. Around 1750 it was enlarged and given its interior decoration, which survives: painted panelling, gypsum work, marquetry floors and gilded leather hangings. The men of the Marcieu family held the highest military posts in the Dauphiné under Louis XV, and the château keeps memorabilia of Marshal Oudinot. The château and its gardens are listed historic monuments, and the gardens carry the Jardin remarquable label. Their centrepiece is an Italian water staircase fed by mountain springs, with basins and fountains, set among long terraces, box parterres, an enclosed garden, a rose garden and an orchard facing the Alps.
Getting there
By car the château is about 25 minutes from Grenoble and Chambéry, by the A41 (exit Le Touvet) or the RN 90. Entry is only by the Allée du château, and free parking for cars and coaches is in the arrival avenue. Coach lines 35 and 84 stop at Allée du Château, about 20 minutes on foot. The site has access for guests with reduced mobility.
