The Aréna Stade Couvert takes congresses, conventions, seminars, trade shows, award ceremonies, product launches and dinner shows, with a modular arena of 4,000 square metres that holds up to 14,000 spectators or 4,000 guests seated for a meal. The venue is in Liévin, in the Pas-de-Calais, close to Lens, Arras and Lille, and is run by a public joint authority.
Seminars and company events
The site is laid out so that a whole congress can stay in one place. Plenary sessions go to the amphitheatre, which has 300 seats, about ten of them for wheelchair users, a stage with a lectern and armchairs, a sound system, a video projector and fibre Wi-Fi. Workshops use the training rooms, and about 800 square metres of annexes include VIP lounges. The arena itself can be set out for a trade show, an exhibition, a gala dinner or a team-building day, and also serves for administrative competitive exams. Clients listed by the venue include public bodies, insurers and trade-show organisers.
Rooms and capacities
The arena covers 4,000 square metres and receives up to 14,000 spectators. For a meal, it seats up to 4,000. The amphitheatre has 300 seats. The annexes of about 800 square metres hold the training rooms and VIP lounges, whose individual capacities are given on request. Sports facilities include a 300 metre warm-up ring, a 1,400 square metre warm-up hall, a weight room, six changing rooms, ten VIP, officials' and referees' boxes, and a connected press room and press stand.
Accommodation
The venue has 100 bedrooms, single, double and triple, for 150 people in all, 19 of them adapted for guests with reduced mobility. Each has its own bathroom and toilet, storage, a desk, a television and Wi-Fi. Delegates and teams can sleep, eat and work without leaving the site.

The self-service restaurant seats 350 and looks over the arena, and its spaces can be rearranged. Formats include seated table service, outside catering, welcome coffee, aperitifs, cocktail dinners and buffets. Accommodation and meals can be combined in an all-inclusive package.
History and setting
The building began as a regional indoor stadium for athletics and has since been reworked into a modular arena for sport, concerts, shows and business events. Its sports facilities still include call and anti-doping rooms, two infirmaries, saunas and cold baths. The operator is the Syndicat mixte pour l'exploitation de la régie, a public body.
