Private receptions, weddings, cocktail evenings and company events can be held in the reception rooms and gardens of the Villa Ephrussi de Rothschild, in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat on the French Riviera. The villa does not publish guest numbers: capacity is agreed with the events team for each space and format. Full privatisation of the house and gardens is offered. The 2026 reception calendar is already full, so requests now concern later seasons.
Seminars and company events
Companies work with the villa mainly through its corporate patronage programme. Partner companies can hold private events in several spaces of the house and gardens, in the format they choose: a breakfast, a cocktail or an evening reception. The villa also takes photo and film shoots, handled by the same events team. No meeting room or seminar package is listed, so the villa suits the reception that closes a working day rather than a full day of plenary sessions.
Weddings and receptions
Weddings are the main private use of the villa. Receptions take place in three named settings: the patio, the French garden and the oriental salon. Couples choose their caterer, florist and technical suppliers from the villa's list of referenced partners. Dates fill early: every reception slot of the 2026 season has been taken.
Rooms and capacities
The patio is the main covered room, a large hall lined with arcades and pink marble columns in the manner of an Italian Renaissance villa. The French garden overlooks Cap Ferrat, with a view of land and sea. The oriental salon looks over the bay of Villefranche and catches the light at sunset. Around the house, the estate counts nine listed gardens. Capacities for each space are given on request.
Catering
Event catering comes from the villa's referenced partners: Helen Traiteur, Le Jardin des Chefs, Lenôtre Côte d'Azur, Potel et Chabot Méditerranée, Grands Events by Fairmont Monte-Carlo and Le Catering Robuchon Monaco. Lighting, sound, decoration and entertainment come from referenced firms such as Riviera Organisation, D&X Events and Options Sud-Est, and flowers from three referenced florists. During public opening, the Béatrice restaurant and tea room serves visitors from 11:00 to 17:30.
History and setting
The villa was built between 1905 and 1912 for Béatrice Ephrussi de Rothschild, who filled it with furniture, paintings and porcelain and laid out its gardens. It stands on the isthmus of Cap Ferrat, between the bays of Villefranche and Beaulieu, and is a classified historic monument. The estate is run as Villa et Jardins Ephrussi de Rothschild, in partnership with the Académie des Beaux-Arts. House and gardens open to the public every day from 10:00 to 18:00; event timings are set with the events team.
Getting there
The villa is at 1 avenue Ephrussi de Rothschild, 06230 Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat. The nearest railway station is Beaulieu-sur-Mer, on the coastal line between Nice and Monaco. Nice Côte d'Azur airport is the nearest airport.
