The Villa Kerylos can be hired for professional events, seminars and private receptions, with its peristyle and atrium taking 120 standing guests or 80 seated, and a separate conference room for the working part of the day. The villa stands on the Pointe des Fourmis at Beaulieu-sur-Mer, on the coast between Nice and Monaco.
Seminars and company events
The villa's hire offer is built around a meeting followed by a cocktail or a dinner. A conference room is listed among the spaces, so a team can work in the late afternoon and move to the terrace or the peristyle for the reception. Guests can be offered a private visit of the villa outside opening hours, which turns a corporate evening into a guided discovery of the house and its decor. The 2026 hire brochure, available on request from the official site, sets out the surfaces and capacity limits of every space and is worth asking for with the quote. The villa opens to the public from 10:00 to 17:00 between October and March and until 18:00 from April to September, with some evening openings in summer, so private events are planned around these hours.
Rooms and capacities
Seven spaces can be hired: Le Péristyle, La Terrasse, L'Andron (the salon), La Galerie des antiques, Les Jardins, Le Triklinos (the dining room) and La Salle de conférence. The peristyle and atrium together cover 155 m², with an adjoining 48 m² service room, and take 120 standing or 80 seated. The peristyle is ringed by twelve monolithic columns of white Carrara marble. Capacities for the other six spaces appear in the brochure but not on the website, and should be checked against the format planned: a seated dinner in the Triklinos is a different scale from a cocktail on the terrace.
Catering
The official site does not describe the catering arrangements, which are set with the villa when the quote is prepared. Picnics are not allowed in the gardens during public opening, and the house rules apply to every event.
History and setting
Kerylos was built between 1902 and 1908 for the archaeologist Théodore Reinach and designed by the architect Emmanuel Pontremoli as a recreation of a house of ancient Greece, with mosaics, frescoes and furniture drawn for the rooms. Reinach left the villa to the Institut de France, which still owns it. It has been a classified historic monument since 1966, and the protection was extended to the outbuildings and the garden in 2026. The gardens run down to the shoreline and are planted with Mediterranean species, and the terrace faces the open sea. Few places on the Riviera put an event inside a complete reconstruction of this kind, which is why companies use it for receptions where the setting is part of the message.
Getting there
The address is Impasse Gustave Eiffel, 06310 Beaulieu-sur-Mer. Beaulieu-sur-Mer station, on the coastal line between Nice and Monaco, is within walking distance. By car, the villa is reached from the lower corniche road, the RD 6098, with parking near the town hall. Nice Côte d'Azur airport is about 20 km away. Rue Gustave Eiffel is open to pedestrians only during the current roadworks, which matters for caterers' deliveries and guest drop-offs.
